The walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The walk will start Texas at Hamilton, east on Crawford, west on Congress, south on Fannin, east on McKinney, north on Crawford and end on Texas.

Katy Freeway HOV Lane Closing September 8, 2008
The Texas Department of Transportation is delaying the closing of the Katy HOV lane to Sept. 8, 2008 due to potential issues associated with Hurricane Gustav. The closure is necessary for final construction activities on the Katy Freeway and its Managed Lanes.
The Managed Lanes will be operated by the Harris County Toll Road Authority, who will be announcing plans for the opening of the lanes in the near future.
TxDOT is allowing METRO to continue to operate buses in a closed lane through the construction area. METRO buses will have access to a closed lane from 6 – 9 a.m. and from 4 – 7 p.m.
For safety reasons carpools and vanpools will not be allowed in the lane.
We encourage you to ride METRO during the transition period.

Bus Stop Closure for 50 Harrisburg
Construction on the East End Corridor light-rail line is underway!
- Effective Thursday, August 28, the Sydney stop on the 50 Harrisburg will be closed until further notice.
- Please use the Eastwood stop just two blocks west.
- The service will continue from Eastwood uninterrupted.
- Trip times may be affected.

Katy Freeway Alert
- 131 Memorial
As part of the final phase of the Texas
Department of Transportation (TxDOT)
Katy Freeway reconstruction program, TxDOT
contractors will be restriping and reconfiguring
the eastbound traffic lanes. It will be necessary
to temporarily eliminate access to the HOV lane
east of Beltway 8. This closure will be in effect
starting Monday, July 14, 2008, and will last
for approximately 40 days.
Inbound trips on the 131 Memorial will no longer
be able to access the HOV lane. Please allow extra
travel time as 131 buses will have to use the east bound main lanes of the Katy Freeway. There
will be no other changes to the inbound route
associated with this construction.
At present, there will be no change to the P.M.
outbound route.

Northbound after 9:00 A.M. layover in the 900 block of Wilcrest at the bus stop (DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAY OF THE SUNNY’S FOOD STORE), leave 5 minutes before Southbound departure time at Chatterton and Sherwood Forest.
26 OUTER LOOP Counter Clock Wise – Via Market , left Sakowitz, right San Jose, right Lockwood, to regular route. (completion date to be determined).
27 INNER LOOP Clockwise – Starting at Lockwood and I-10 East service rd., left turn I-10 East service rd., Exit Kress / Lathrop, right turn Lathrop to regular route.
33 POST OAK CROSSTOWN - After 7:00 p.m. Weekdays and all day on weekends: Northbound – Starting at Post Oak Boulevard and San Felipe, continue on Post Oak Boulevard, left on Four Oaks Place, right S. Post Oak Lane to regular route. (Estimated completion 09-14-08).
