UPDATE 18: METRO TO OPEN GULF HOV LANE MONDAY MORNING

METRO service has reached a nearly complete recovery after Hurricane Ike with the opening of the IH 45 Gulf Freeway HOV Monday morning.

The Gulf HOV and the other HOV lanes previously opened will be on their regular schedule from 5 to 11a.m. and 2 to 8 p.m.

The Monroe Park & Ride will be open. However, the Monroe HOV exit leading to Hobby Airport will be closed.

METRO's Pinemont Park & Ride HOV entrance ramp to US 290, which was closed last week, will be open Monday morning as scheduled.

Power has been restored to the West Bellfort Park & Ride lot (11415 Roark Road at West Bellfort) on the US 59 Southwest HOV, as well as the Tidwell and Will Clayton ramps along the US 59 Eastex HOV.
