METRO BUS AND RAIL SERVICE INTERRUPTION FOR CHEVRON HOUSTON MARATHON

On Sunday, January 18, from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. the majority of downtown streets will be closed north of Lamar Avenue due to the Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Houston Half Marathon and EP5K.
METRO will be unable to offer bus service during this time. We will resume detour service on the north side of downtown after 8 a.m. using Franklin Street and Congress Street. South of Lamar Avenue, major detour streets will be Pierce and St. Joseph Parkway.
METRORail will have no rail service between the northbound platform at Main Street Square and the southbound platform at Preston Station. Regular rail service will operate between Fannin South and Main Street Square Stations; and Preston and UH Downtown Stations at an 18-minute frequency. Normal service will resume by 2 p.m.
METRO Supervisors will be available to handle any issues that may arise due to the change in service, or individuals can contact Customer Service at 713-635-4000 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or visit us on www.ridemetro.org.
Interrupción De Servicio De Metro Para El Maratón Chevron Houston

El sábado 18 de enero, de las 6 a.m. a las 8 a.m., la mayoría de las calles en el centro, al norte de la Avenida Lamar, permanecerán cerradas debido al Maratón Chevron Houston, el Medio Maratón Aramco Houston y la EP5K.
METRO no podrá ofrecer servicio de autobús durante ese horario. Reanudaremos el servicio de desviaciones en el lado norte del centro después de las 8 a.m., usando la Calle Franklin y la Calle Congress. Al sur de la Avenida Lamar, las principales calles usadas para la desviación serán Pierce y St. Joseph Parkway.
METRORail no ofrecerá el servicio de tren ligero entre la plataforma de Main Street Square con dirección al norte, y en la plataforma en la Estación Preston con dirección al sur. El servicio regular del tren funcionará entre las estaciones de Fannin South y Main Street Square; así como las estaciones de Preston y UH Downtown, a intervalos de 18 minutos. El servicio habitual se reanudará a las 2 p.m.
